As if...

As if immunizations weren't enough...we went and got the girls ears pierced.  This is cause for some controversy among some parents.  Well we thought it out and felt it was a good choice.  They will not be able to mess with their ears for a little while longer, leaving room for healing and less/no infection. (I remember going through a few infections-not fun!)  Luckily they forgot about it quickly rather than being 5yrs + and remembering it all day long or even longer. (I've heard the stories!)

Not to mention it's cute, now they are color oriented (Kenzington Pink and Oakley White), and they are no longer confused to be baby boys! =p

Anyway, they both of course cried.  Kenzington as though she fell from a tree!  :) Although I think dad was a little more nervous about everything than anyone else.

 Once they were in the car and on our way it was as if it never happened!  

Once we made it home, after a quick stop at the gamma's work, they ate cooed and talked then quickly went to bed.  

I must say it was a pretty eventful day for the little ones.  

They are growing and developing so quickly now.  Finding their voices, grabbing and trying to pull everything to their mouths.  It's so fun to be able to watch all their progress.  Before we know it they'll be on their snowboards, ripping up the track on their dirt bikes and rolling down the street on their long boards! 

It's also been a learning process for their parents.  We have both learned so much patients with them, with our selves, and with life in general.  You need to just take things as they come and enjoy the moments that never seem to last long enough.   

Halloween is approaching and we are so excited to get them dressed up and show them off! :)

They are going to be so cute and will laugh at the pictures when they look back on their first Halloween.  

No only if I can get their dad to dress up!

Voice

As of recently Oakley has found her voice. We always thought she would notice it first based on her "silly cries" as we called them.  They simply sounded like she was faking it with small cooing and laughter.  Originally she disliked the swing as well but lately I have been putting her there in the mornings so I can get things ready for the day.

It's so adorable! Austin was able to first see this last night, where we took an even longer video of her looking straight at her duck and talking to it.  

Kenzington only seems to like to talk when I'm nursing her at night and it's generally to me.  A little shy maybe :) 

Why I love Fall

Someone said it best when they said, "Do you know why I like fall?   Because it's the season to fall in love".  Ever since I've been told, "It's also the season to fall in love all over again with you!"  

Now away from the cheeeese!

I'm excited for fall because of so many things!

The smells in the air, from rain to the trees and grass after a rain.  The coolness you feel as you step outside on a fresh morning.  

In this desert of a place it's one of the best seasons to go dirt bike riding!  (OHOHOH I can't wait!)  Mountain biking is a must do, to see the beautiful changing trees.  

Halloween, one of my favorite holidays simply cause I like to be scared. =D  

Dressing up in sweaters and jackets always seems to make you feel cozy and comfortable.  

Staying in on a rainy day to play games, *coughWoWcough*, or watch a movie as you lay on the couch under a blanket.  

Heck staying inside on any day because now you have an excuse!  "It's cold and wet!"

Last but not least:  Fall means winter is soon and that means Snowboarding is coming soon. :)

What can I say, I'm a fan of all seasons but this season just makes me giddy!  

Now--To get my dirt bike maintenance done!  

Busy Bee

So, hey there!  It's been a while.  It's been some what of a busy last couple weeks.  Busy enough I can't think of what to blog about!

Today we took the twins to their 4 month appointment.  Which included the lovely visitation of needles!  I knew it would be harder this time simply because of how much more aware of the world they were.  The screams are still deep in my brain! Haha, I'm a wimp. Even though these were just routine I'm proud of them for being such strong babies though..they aren't even 6 months old and have had more needles and tubes through them than most.

Oakley is still showing to be just a smidge larger than her sister.  Weighing 13lbs 14oz, height of 23 3/4.  Kenzington, smaller but just as cute, is 13lbs 5oz with a height of 23 1/2.  They are chubby little gremlins and smile and play more and more each day. They take the time to notice one another and just smile as if they are having conversations via brain waves!  

Still working on getting those fine motor skills going.  Kenzington is still a little ahead of Oakley with those but it's still early in the game.  Each day they get better at grabbing and pulling things to their face.  Also having some issues with the holding up of the head but again..it's early.

We have had family in town the past week and it's been great to catch up and hang out.  

We had some foods, played some Wii, and made babies cry/smile!
Anyone have Wii Sports Resort and wanna do some Sword dueling!  Call me! =D I'll bring it on like Donkey Kong!

We were also able to take some time to go to a concert!  I love concerts...and it helps when the bands are actually good! 

It was 30 Seconds to Mars with Neon Trees and New Politics opening.  Loved them all.

We brought our friends Chris and Betty who are great to have around.

Now for hopefully a relaxing week!  We have been geeking out at night and just heard the news for the new X-pac to be coming out on Dec. 7th....*cough*...well I gotta go ride motorcycles and longboard...*cough*  I'm no nerd! Don't judge me!
