Scenes from the Weekend

I've said it before, I'm going to say it again. I LOVE the weekends! We get to have to much more fun now that the twins are almost 2.  They love exploring and constantly asking "Wha's dis"? Adorable and exciting all bundled into two packages!
Most of Saturday was spent at Yuba Lake.  Just an hour or so South of us. It was sunny with a chilly wind, but that didn't stop us from having so much fun. The girls spent most of their time playing with their cousin Tyson and running around with the dogs.  We took a walk down to the lake and of course they had to play in it. Obviously everyone got a bit wet.
The view was so amazing from the camp site. Overlooking the lake and the valley below.  Watching the kids play in the water and all around made me so excited for our camp outs and road trips this summer.
PS. Yes, K is showing crack. :) Couldn't help but giggle she couldn't keep her pants on.
{Happy Monday!❤}

Weekend Memories

I know living for the weekends is a bad way to do it.  But I love weekends like this last one.
It was just such a beautiful weekend in general. The sun was always shining down on our faces, the smell of crisp spring was in the air as we chased the kids around the yard.  As much as being lazy and cuddling sounded nice, it was much more pleasant to sit outside watching the world.
Friday the Twins and I spent all day with my mom.  We went shopping, keeping the grownups busy as we chased the gremlins around the store.  We had a super yummy lunch at Chili's, all of us getting full on the chips and dip before our food even arrived.
Spending the rest of the evening playing outside, watching movies, and relaxing.

Saturday was a nice little break as the twins went off to play at their other grandma's all day with their cousin.  Playing in the sand box, sitting on the 4-wheeler and having a ball.  Giving me some nice quiet time at home.  It was just an added bonus that by the time they got home they had played so much they were exhausted.  Went right to sleep and even woke up later than usual.

Sunday was a very spiritual, happy, and sad day all in one.  My mom has been working for the same doctor for....More than 16yrs?  He has been a huge part of our families lives just for how often he has been there for us.  From being there for my first surgery when I was in 6th grade, inviting us to Ethiopia in 2005 to blessing and being there for the twins when they were in the NICU.  Him and his wife are going on a mission to Brazil to provide medical care.  We are so excited for them!  I'm thinking Skype doctor calls?  Hehe.

Despite needing to do homework in the back of my mind most the weekend, it was a very fun and loving weekend.  One that I wont forget too easily. :p

I hope everyone else had a great weekend as well!

 {Happy Monday!} ❤

My super bowl

It's been recent as of last year that I've really enjoyed the Super Bowl. With the Packers (my team!) taking it home last year. This year neither are really of interest. Instead I got to see my own super bowl as the UVU rugby girls demolished USU making them still undefeated since fall! We still will be having a party, eating and enjoying the commercials this year! So good luck to both teams! May the coolest plays win hehe.

Weekend scenes

We had a pretty easy nothing special weekend.  Some good times with friends on Friday evening, game Saturday morning, family and movie Saturday evening, homework Sunday morning, movie and dinner with family Sunday evening.  Pretty simple yes?
Well that wont last.  Finals is coming up and after that a whirlwind of events!  I'm pretty sure it will all be a blur in the end so I'll need to take photos often, or else we'll never remember.

Here are some scenes from our weekend. ❤

 Don't mind me I don't photograph well..hahah.

 She was almost there!

Playing with daddy.  Look at those giant teeth!

Which she uses on her feet..

How was your weekend? =D

The weekend

Our weekend was pretty simple.  Friday was spent preparing for Saturday, if you want to call sitting around and not doing too much preparing. :)
We had some fun times in the tub as always!

I finished my paper on the Fall of the Roman Empire. Which, as much as I was dreading it, I enjoyed.  It was some what interesting learning about all the things that led to the crumbling of one of the most powerful empires.

Saturday we had a game against ISU.  It was a mini tournament I guess so there were several games going on.  The fam came out to support us, although it was so freezing cold they ended up having to leave not too much after they got there.  Poor Ms. K wasn't having being wrapped up in a blanket the whole time.
The last week or so I've had a bit of a pulled groin and thought I would be in alright condition to play.  That unfortunately was my mistake.  During the 2nd half within 10 minutes of the half staring I pulled it even worse.  I was in tears by the end of the game and could barely walk.
Ever get that chance to show em what you got, then something goes wrong?  Yeah, this was that.  I felt a bit embarrassed because I'm pretty sure no one noticed I was hurtin' till after the game so it probably looked like I was just being lazy as I was struggling to chase the ball.  Things happen and we move on though right?  I'll be spending Monday and Tuesday recovering, and hopefully by this coming Saturday I can be somewhat useful. Haha.

Enough of me feeling sorry, the moral of the story is WE WON! :)  It was a good game.  I enjoyed just being out in the freezing with the girls and being goofs.
Later that night we took the girls over to hang out with some friends and have some pretty awesome home made burritos.  I tried my hand at some Call of Duty on the Xbox, since I hadn't played for years and even then it was on my PS2 I felt the need.  I sucked, of course, haha.  One day I will dominate!  I know it! <3

Sunday was nice and relaxing with some amazing eats at the rents place.
We are trying to finalize some plans for the summer this coming week, on top of me trying to catch up with my online class and study for a test on Tuesday.  It's all doable though and all this craziness keeps us going!

{How was your weekend?  Any life changing plans this coming week?}

Touchdown!

Austin will tell you the truth..I've never been too much into watching sports.  But I have also been behind the Packers, even when they fail. ;)

So to hear they made it to the Super Bowl I was all for watching this year.  I was glad I did too. It was a fun night filled with food, family, laughs and outbursts of anger at the refs!

Despite my player punching the opposing team in the face and causing a 15 yrd penalty.  They won!

It was a good game.

It was obvious that the girls were split on teams as K would squeal every time GB made good plays and O would do the opposite!  hehe.  At least that's what we kept telling ourselves.

This week is going to be busy but we're ready for it!  Hoping everyone had a great weekend and are ready to go for the week!
